It was 70 years ago that Gordon and Ethel Barr started their excavation company with a single piece of equipment and a promise to themselves and to their customers to provide excellence in excavation, water, and sewer services.


Fast forward to today, BARR Homes lives up to this dedication to quality with every home we build. Quality homes and customer service is our top priority.


What started as a modest operation, building just a handful of homes in our first year, has grown into a thriving business, with approximately 50 homes built annually in Kingston and nearby cities like Amherstview and Loyalist. A major part of that success comes from our attention to the customer’s needs and to our high quality trade partners.
