It was 70 years ago that Gordon and Ethel Barr started their excavation company with a single piece of equipment and a promise to themselves and to their customers to provide excellence in excavation, water, and sewer services.

Today, BARR Homes lives up to this dedication to quality with every home we build. Quality homes and customer service is our top priority.

Barr Homes has carved a nice place for itself in the Kingston Homebuilders Community.

In the first year we built a handful of homes, now we’re up to approximately 50 per year. A major part of that success comes from our attention to the customer’s needs and to our high quality trade partners.

At BARR Homes we work very closely with the customers and we get them involved right from the start with a pre-construction meeting to get all the little details worked out.

As a member of the Kingston Home Builders Association, BARR Homes participates in the Annual Parade of Homes, showcasing the talents of local builders. Barr Homes is a major sponsor of the yearly home show. From supporting children’s teams in hockey and soccer to providing opportunities for local high school students to learn the ins and outs of home building,

BARR Homes gives back to the community that we are helping build. BARR Homes contributed to the new Soccer plex located on County Road 6 between Amherstview and Odessa. We are creating communities with homes to live in and nearby recreational facilities to enjoy. Amherstview is a growing and vibrant community featuring the beautiful waterfront of Lake Ontario and plenty of activities for all ages.

The process of building a new home typically takes between 5-6 months. BARR Homes takes great pride in their track record of completing your new home on time.
